Cristalize Trend

Gosto muito dessa tendência, Crystalize, que invadiu o Design em geral. A Nokia por exemplo utilizou esse tipo de gráfico em temas dos celulares série N e no sistema Maemo. O mundo pop também aderiu ao estilo; Madona já fez um clipe, vi no fffound algumas fotos e até a Lady Gaga já aproveitou essa trend!

Mas WTF é o tal do Crystalize? Eu sei lá; foi um nome de inventei (pois ainda não descobri outra nomenclatura). São gráficos espelhados que lembram cristais. Lembra do filme Superman – O Retorno? É algo parecido com a ilha de Criptonita! Ah, acabei de me lembrar de um dos primeiros exemplos que vi: um dos primeiros clipes do Linkin Park usa esse estilo.

Em fim, o fato que é o Crystalize (se alguém descobrir outro nome, me fale por favor) tem sido utilizado de maneira muito interessante e agora surgiu mais um interessante exemplo. O novo clipe do Massive Attack (Splitting The Atom) é uma mistura de Crystalize com BulletTime. O clipe é ainda mais interessante, pois mostra uma cidade inteira com essa técnica. I like this trend, Crystalize, that invaded Design in general. Nokia for example used this type of graphic themes on the N series phones and the system Maemo to. The world also joined the pop style, Madonna has made a clip, I saw in fffound some photos and even Lady Gaga has taken this trend!
But WTF is this the Crystalize? I don’t know! was a name invented (i still have not found another nomenclature). Graphics are reminiscent of mirrored crystals. Do you remember the movie Superman - The Return? It looks like the island of Kryptonite! Ah, I just remembered one of the first examples i saw: one of the first clips of Linkin Park uses this style.
The fact: Crystalize (if someone finds another name, tell me please) has been used in a very interesting and now there is another interesting example. The new clip of Massive Attack (Splitting The Atom) is a mixture of Crystalize with BulletTime. The video is even more interesting because it shows an entire city with this technique. Não preciso falar sobre o duo Massive Attack (que é muito bom) , mas preciso dar espaço para a produção do clipe que foi dirigido pelo francês, Edouard Salier , que já dirigiu clipes do Orichas, Air e até dos Tribalistas. Seu curta, Flesh, fez parte da seleção oficial do festival de Sundance em 2006, uma mistura de imagens do 11/9 com filmes pornô. E eu me pergunto se na época o vídeo causou tanta polêmica quanto o a campanha da DM9 para a WWF. Confira o portfólio do diretor clicando no nome dele.
